(More customer reviews)Not just pilots, but armchair travellers of all sorts, will love this book about the first single engine private plane flying through the heart of Africa, across the Empty Quarter of Saudi Arabia and deep into the Middle East in 1954 and early 1955. Great black and white photos, as well, from their stay with Pygmies in the Congo, of the snows of Kilimanjaro as they flew over the summit, of Afghanistan and the Persian Gulf. This was a great flying adventure!
