(More customer reviews)I just received the paperback of "the mystery of the ghosts of flight 401" and I am extremely disappointed at my purchase. From the Amazon.com profile on the book, it appears that the book is a paperback containing possibly multiple pages and extensive narrative concerning the events of that fateful flight. However, the paperback is merely 32 pages long, possessing very little information (which can be already read in the internet) and it looks more like a children's book (with pictures spanning the whole page and the captions, which are the only material that one can read, embedded in them). I was expecting a paperback that resembled more a novel or at least a small treatise on the subject, but when I saw the very thin envelope arrive, I was already shaking my head in disappointment. I definitely do NOT recommend this piece of work at all. I would have been better off buying John Fuller's book. Amazon needs to put the information about the books more readily accessible for the buyers. If it was there, I still can not find it.

can get my hands on from those with more experience than myself.
I have previous enjoyed Richard Collin's articles as well as his videos from Sporty's.
I don't want to be too harsh as it's good to get as many books converted to the
Kindle as possible.
But in it's present form "The Perfect Flight" it is a bit distracting to read.
There are numerous errors where words are hyphenated when not needed.
It must have happen during the conversion process.
Like activ-ity, Chal-lenges, transporta-tion. These were all on one page.
There are typically 3 - 5 of these errors per page.
(I am not referring to the other hyphenation as presented in the hardcover book.)

(More customer reviews)I have read just about every non-fiction ghost story available and this book with a few exceptions is by far one of the most entertaining. I care not that there is no solid evidence, just that this was a pure flight into the unkown (excuse the pun)! John Fuller (the author) takes us back to 1972, that fateful night when flight 401 to Miami never reaches its destination. I felt as thought I was on that plane. Every detail, sound and devastating emotion is teased with such horrific suspence and waiting, waiting for that final moment of impact. After the tradgedy of the crash start coming the reports from bewildered flight attendents and crew who claim to be experiencing vivid images relating to the deceased crew of the crash. These accounts are of a truly terrorfying nature and are portrayed with desperate sincerity. If you are a fan of TRUE ghost stories BUY THIS BOOK. You will not regret it!

The Mystery of Flight 427: Inside a Crash Investigation Review

(More customer reviews)The idea of a book about an airline crash and the following investigation is not new. There have been plenty of books using this formula. But this one is special. Very readable. As an airline pilot who has taken (but thankfully never had to use) crash site courses the technical aspects are pitch perfect, and as a reader of tons of aviation books, the writing is engaging and accessible. Just about anybody could read, understand, and become involved in this text.
The epic story of the world's most popular jet with an unknown fleeting flaw is the story. Adair avoids the clichés of the Airplane! genre, but the whole book smoothly reads like a novel. He seemed to have interviewed everybody involved in the 737 investigations. And as a professional journalist he knew how and what to ask. Balanced without preaching. It is clear the 737 was safe, but had a fatal flaw. Thanks to folks at the NTSB that never gave up, and people like Adair who track and report on the detective story, airline flying becomes even safer.
If you want to know what it is really like inside a crash investigation, without the hyperbole, but with all the smells and politics, this is a super book to start with.
