(More customer reviews)I lived in Naples in the 60s as a teenager and saw many of the sights and landmarks that were featured in this book...the wealth of information in the captions enlightens the reader with boring him and the photos are breathtaking...I was so happy to return to the Campania through this beautiful book and this has encouraged me to return in person soon. Thank you, for this wonderful opportunity!

Antonio Attini takes readers on a memorable tour above the diverse architecture and landscapes of the historic Campania region through hundreds of aerial photographs. We are treated to fresh perspectives of such iconic structures as the former monastery of Certosa di San Martino perched on top of the Vomero and the Castel dell’Ovo on the tiny islet Megarides and thrilling glimpses of the crater of Mt. Vesuvius, as well as the archaeological wonders of Pompeii and Herculaneum. We are whisked along the picturesque Amalfi Coast and to the idyllic island of Capri, one of the most scenic spots in Italy. What emerges is a portrait of a region with a uniquely rich historical legacy and unsurpassed natural beauty.
