(More customer reviews)There was no textbook for aviation marketing. What we found on the market was outdated (written before social media, blogs, and other technological advances) or was written specifically for airlines.
If are an aviation professional (insurance, tax, law, or consulting) company owner, entrepreneur, or marketing professional and if you sell an aviation product, this book is for you.
Five dollars from the purchase price of every book goes to The Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF.) The two objectives of the organization include providing a full college education to the surviving children of those who lose their lives while serving in the U.S. military special operations community, and providing immediate financial assistance and support to ensure that severely wounded personnel are able to have their loved ones at their bedside during recovery.
Many people who are unfamiliar with marketing and sales seem to think that marketing is a necessary evil - an exotic art form they HAVE to engage to sell their product but they want to have as little to do with it as possible.
Marketing CAN be effective,
understandable, and accountable!
The book is composed of the best articles from the ABCI blog, as well as some great contributions from the greatest minds in aviation marketing:Roy Hinds MSc MRAeS, AV8 Services
Roy comes from a background of electronics and hardware / software engineering. In his early career he was involved with the development of the first generation of solid-state bird scaring devices - Ironically later in his career whilst project managing a regional airport, he would become a customer for the same company.
More recently he became involved in building the business case for EFB (Electronic Flight Bags) for the aviation services company ARINC, and three airlines.
After completing his Masters in Air Transport Management at City University he became a project manager at an expanding regional airport and became in projects as diverse as relocating and re-certifying an ILS system, to organising an air show with an attendance in excess of 20,000.
He also is an avid aviation photographer and has had his work published in a number of aviation journals including Pilot magazine. His ultimate flying ambition would be to restore a Mosquito to flying condition
"Why have one Merlin, when you can have two in a lightweight airframe?"
