This is a good textbook on aerodynamics of V/STOL flight. Yes, it has not been revised since the original printing in 1966, but the basic methods and experimental results still apply, just like they did then. The book is aimed very much at someone with a background in aeronautical engineering. It is not for the casual reader, and has nothing about the history of V/STOL flight
As an aero engineer working on the design of VTOL airplanes, its exactly what I was looking for. I give it a 4 star rating just because I dont think any textbook is worth 5 stars! ;-)
