(More customer reviews)This book was excellent reading and provided me with a lot of insight as to what my Ukrainian grandparents experienced. They both served as labor for the Germans during WWII. This book allowed me to understand the horrors and starvation that the Ukrainians experienced on their long road for independence. I recommend this book for anyone who wants to understand what the Ukrainian people had to go through. My grandparents never spoke about events in this book and I am sorry they didn't. I would never part with my book.
